In November 2007, Microsoft launched the latest version of its ASP.NET framework along with new development tools to support this release. COMWeb took this opportunity to migrate our entire application suite to this new ASP.NET 3.5 version using the latest MS Visual Studio 2008 toolset. We also decided to purchase and integrate a superb function library from Telerik. With this move COMWeb has positioned itself and its products at the forefront of the latest technology available. We took our existing classic ASP application and migrated it entirely to ASP.NET using the C# programming language. This wasn't just a simple upgrade but rather a redesign of the application to provide the platform where we can rapidly add functionality and stay at the leading edge of web applications in today's internet enabled world. This was an exciting project for us and with thanks to the entire development team, we made our deadlines for getting this complete. What does the new ASP.NET 3.5 framework give you? Besides providing the latest technology for the web, this framework is faster, easier to maintain and has a huge commitment from Microsoft to be the best they have ever released. Because COMWeb has implemented its solution on this version, we do not have to go through any upgrades of our code to use the new functionality introduced with this release. The COMWeb challenge Our software design is based firstly on ease of use, but equally importantly, providing the fuctionality lacking in so many products designed by engineers. Our solution architects have all served on boards, volunteered in their communities or held positions in companies that provide direct insight into the workings of their organizations. This experience and previous lack of functionality is now intergrated into our solution. And we can tell you, you haven't seen anything yet. The ideas we have and the functionality we have planned for this product will really suprise and thrill you. Software Releases The COMWeb development team is hard at work implementing new functionality based on feedback from you, our clients. We listen and will willingly implement any reasonable request should it provide additional functionality to the product. We also do custom requests and will code up anything you require. New major releases of the application are once a quarter, minor releases with bug fixes, minor functionality improvements are released monthly. This are automatically applied to your site at no extra cost or effort on your part.
