Major Enhancements:

Enhanced Security

A deeper level of control of pages has been implemented. Editors of pages can now be restricted to only the pages within a category. An additional level of authorization has been implemented that differentiates between an Editor and a Publisher. Editors can Add, Edit and Save pages. Publishers can also Publish, Delete and add to the Menu. Page Categories are set up with one of 3 options. 1 – Public View, 2 - Just registered logged in users, 3 – Just members of that category (for example, the board).

Embedded Pages

An additional button has been added to the Page Editing. Page Setup allows you to embed an additional component on your page. Modules include Announcements, Calendars, Document Lists or News Feeds. For now you are restricted to adding just one module, but we will be increasing that to 6 or more and allowing you to place them in different positions. I suggest trying this out with Document views to get familiar with it. Upload all your documents using the Document module and then create a page to display a list for your members/users.

Upcoming:

  • Forums integration
  • Improved events calendar display
  • Request submission/ticketing module
  • Improved User Account management
